Good morning!
It is Hello snow inside and outside! We have been getting a couple inches 3 times this week so far... and of course I finished up this cute Country Cottage Needleworks Hello Snow chart!
I changed a few things .. the color of the border , the scarfs and I left off the big top and bottom borders of snowflakes. I stitched it on light blue tea/ coffee dyed 28 count Monaco ..all the colors I used are shown above..
I had this tray that I found at a flea market for $1.00 and I had a Fall piece in it but wanted to use it again and I figured if I left off the snowflake borders it would work!
I mounted it to sticky board .. added a gathered piece of ripped red gingham.. used a washer on the back to attach to the magnet I had already put on the tray .
I made a bow from greenery and black gingham ribbon and added a covered button ..
It has its place of honor on the table in the family room with the Snow Place like Home banner and also Winter Wonderland ,,
So pretty to keep Winter from being dull and boring! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It doesn't look like your home has a change to be dull or boring :) Winter used to get me down then I changed my attitude and gave the season a new name. Now it's Spring, Summer, Autumn and Quilting and Sewing season :) Isn't that better, LOL. Your needle work as lovely and so farmhouse . . . I like that. I especially like the banner . . . you do such nice work.
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting and Sewing Season.
Let it snow!
Connie :)
Lovely, as always. My almost 3 year old granddaughter was looking at your pictures with me. She spotted Ronnie and is in love! Now she wants to see the dog! Ronnie looks a great deal like our little Honey who is mixed chihuahua terrier. You now have aa new little fan. Like grandmother like granddaughter.

Okay, Priscilla. Love, love, love your finishes but enough with the snow already! I'll be looking for snow if we don't get any by Thanksgiving but I really need some flowers and bunnies and you stitch much faster than anybody I know!
ReplyDeleteSo love it! :) Cathryn
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty display of all the winter stitches! I did end up with a snow day yesterday - woohoo! That's the best part of winter - unexpected days off ;P

Yet another great finish! Speedy too! I intend to do a bunch of finishing soon, after I finish a gift I am stitching. And of course, I picture all kinds of exceptionally pretty things, thanks to your wonderful techniques shared with us! My mind starts to think about how to finish it as I near the end of each project. By the way, it is already 72 here today... gonna be 78 again...oh gee...so warm! Ha! Yesterday, I changed out the decor in the front rooms of my house to Spring! Thanks for sharing, as always! Hugs!
