Snow Days!

Hello friends!
Isn't this snow cute?!?
This is Snow Days from Country Cottage Needleworks.. My daughter stitched this and I finished it. I used a thrift store frame , and used the backing from the frame to mount buffalo check fabric on. I mounted her stitching on sticky board and glued it to the buffalo check covered board. The frame was painted with chalk paint and distressed with sandpaper..

I added pine branches to the top with red pom poms and black check homespun. I made a bow from red check ribbon, red plaid ribbon and black homespun.. It's stitched on 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave..

  4. Your finishes are especially nice because they are economical! I have one piece my mom did and I'm going to have that professionally framed and glassed. Other than that, anything I do is going to be finished "Priscilla Style". My stuff isn't that precious that I shouldn't enjoy it!
