Happy Sunday!
I finished up a couple things this morning and couldn't wait to share them with you all! The first thing is this cute With Thy Needle and Thread "Easter Peep" . I found this cute drawer frame at Michael's on clearance and knew it would be perfect for this little guy.. So I lightly chalk painted the background because it was a little bright.. I added a one inch frame underneath so it wasn't sunk back into the frame .. I added magnets to that piece and some sheet metal pieces to the back of the stitching so if I find another piece that will fit in here for another season I can change it out. I stuffed some moss under and added a few flower buds , I also made a bow from burlap and the fabric I used for the backing and tied it around the handle.. topped it with a birds nest full of eggs and O.M.G..It is
C-u-t-e !
2nd was just finishing up the March word from Lizzie Kate ..February was finished last month so I am hoping to keep up with one a month.. I also added a bow and a twine flower to the top of the frame with a gingham covered button for the center.
Last is the Spring from Lizzie Kate 4 seasons.. it is small and nothing was really standing out to me how to finish it up.. I also found this frame in the clearance at Michael's .Under the stitching it is padded burlap and I just opened the frame back and centered the stitching on top of the padded burlap and closed up the frame. I will be stitching the rest of the seasons so I can just switch them out no finishing required! The frame is really pretty..and you can see inthe photo how puffy it is!
Can you stand this cuteness!?! All were stitched on 28 count tea/ coffee dyed evenweave.
If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Cuteness abounds with all the stitchery. I love the March word and the little chick, darling:). You are very artistic in how you frame your finished projects.

There is just something about Spring stitching that makes me smile and these are the cutest, Priscilla!! You have such a great eye for matching up frames and finishes. Really love that puffy look in the LK 4 Seasons finish. And always great to be able to switch out for the rest of the seasons...
ReplyDeleteDid you use overdyed floss on your March word play!
