December's Stitchy Chalkboard

Happy Monday!
I finished stitching the last of the A Year In Chalk from Hands on Design last week, and got it finished up and put on the cabinet in the foyer.. Chalkboards and cross stitch .. 2 of my favorite things!
I have to admit I skipped November since I jump from Halloween to all out Christmas decor :) I will be stitching the November one though since I am doing another whole set of these for a gift.. and yes I know it's early and I am skipping Thanksgiving ..but this is our families normal . We eat our Thanksgiving dinner in a house full of Christmas and LOVE it!

I only have one tree left to put up and that is our real Frasier Fir that has not gotten picked out yet! I just need to get some time to take photos and get some blog posts written to show you!
I have loved stitching all of this series ..if you are a stitcher you need these in your life! :) I bought the pedestal frame at Michael's and use a magnet on the gingham mat and a piece of sheet metal on the back of the stitching to change them out every month!

If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Thanks so much for all your visits and sweet comments !

  1. Your December Year in Chalk piece looks great, Priscilla. I have that one left to stitch and then I need to decide how to finish them. I like that wreath that is hanging with your framed Year in Chalk piece. Have a wonderful week!

  4. Thank you for inspiring me to start the chalkboard series. I didn't really look at them until I came across your blog. I've only completed October so far, and had fun swapping out some of the individual stitches for beads. Your creative finishes are very inspiring!

  5. I have fallen in love with all the cross stitch you share with us. I am working on my own seasonal projects now in counted cross stitch thanks to your inspiration. Your ideas for mounting and display make it all the more fun.

  6. You have such a gorgeous Christmas home, Priscilla, that I would leave up the decorations for at least three months! I can only imagine how much time it takes you to haul all the decorations out of storage and put them out each year. No wonder you skip Thanksgiving decorating!

Love the newest chalkboard cross stitch--it fits in perfectly in your foyer display.

Enjoy your turkey dinner amidst the winter wonderland--sounds like such fun! Happy Thanksgiving to you :)
