Good morning!
So it is no secret that I L-O-V-E chalkboards.. and anything with bookpages.. My Fall Mantel incorporates both of those things!
I went to Home Depot and had a piece of wood cut for this vintage ( bought at a flea Market ) frame..I then painted it with chalkboard paint and here it is. I think I might dry brush off white paint over the gold on the frame ..Just haven't had time yet !
Chalk painted mason jars tied with black gingham check fabric hold a trio of sweater pumpkins. The white wood lanterns are from Homegoods.
There is also black check burlap ribbon entwined thru the cotton and leaves..and a strand of white lights to light it up at night!
So ..when I was doing the chalkboard this orange one was my first ..I didn't like the way it looked so it got erased and a white and black plaid pumpkin is the replacement ..
The Fall home tour starts today at Brenda's

Priscilla, I love chalkboards and book pages as well. I started switching up my mantel for Halloween today and I used a book page garland as well. Love, love your leaves! I agree that the chalkboard looks best b&w. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
