Good Morning !
On Christmas morning we made 2 breakfast casseroles and both are amazing ! First we made The Pioneer Woman
It is excellent, I used sliced Italian bread instead of a loaf ..Made the night before and kept in the fridge overnight, then baked in the morning.
For the second casserole we made bubble up breakfast casserole ..
This one I changed up and here is my recipe.
Bubble Up Breakfast Casserole
1 package Italian sausage ( not links) cooked and crumbled
1 package of bacon cooked and crumbled
1 can Grands biscuits
6 eggs
1-1/4 cup milk
1cup Colby jack cheese shredded
1 cup mozzarella shredded
salt and pepper
Heat oven to 350
Grease bottom and sides of a 9 x 11 casserole dish
Cut biscuits into quarters and lay them in bottom of pan. Top with both meats and cheese. Whisk eggs and milk , pour over top ..
Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes , mine took about 8 minutes longer. Let it sit for about 5 minutes before cutting.
They ate both of these with syrup yesterday.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ! I hope you all did too !
Santa and his reindeer :)
Our best present came on Christmas day when we were given an ultrasound picture of the new grandbaby that will be born in June !
