All 127 squares are finished and put together.. Still trying to decide on a border.. I think its needs something chunky..and the dreaded sewing in of the ends..
we went to a couple estate sales this weekend and one of the things I got was this flower painting .. everything was 75 % off on the last day. I also got a table there for $15.00 and a couple serving platters for $3.75 .. great deals. At the other estate sale I got a small buffet type serving cabinet and a couple more paintings/ prints one of them a Thomas Kinkaid. print, it was $ 12.50 !
Hopefully I will be back soon with a finished blanket !
Thanks for reading ! I love your comments !
Hello there. I saw your photo on Pammy Sue's blog and had to pop over. You have done some beautiful stitching on this 'Field of Flowers' blanket. Congratulations

ReplyDeleteOh, it's so beautiful!! It looks great! Love the aqua and the joining you used. What a treasure! Can't wait to see what you choose for a border. I haven't even thought about that part yet (much). Hee-hee.

Your blanket is gorgeous! Don't you hate having to tie in all those ends - my least favourite part of the process!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
What a labor of love - this will be an heirloom in your family. Came over from Whatever Goes.
