Baby dress , hat and the start of a granny stripe

I needed a girl baby gift and saw a couple of adorable dresses on Petunia pills blog .. Its a free Ravelry pattern...I made it yesterday and then purchased a hat pattern from etsy to go with it. I am also going to make little mary janes with the flower on the top..waiting for the pattern to get delivered to my email.. I think the dress and hat are adorable.

I also started a new granny stripe,(attic 24) just wanted something fast to make..Love all the colors ! Thanks for stopping by, the link to the ravelry pattern and also Petunia Pills blog are below.

  1. Wow, you are fast! I love the pink dress and hat! I am about mid way through a granny like that...but, when I began, I knew nothing of yarns and such. I was inspired by Lucy's lovely colors and went to Michael's picking by color alone. I came home with a bag full of yummy colored yarn and began that blanket. But then later learned that cotton was not the best choice!!! My is it ever heavy!!! I put it aside when it became too cumbersome to work with, and now I think I shall finish it just because. I am making your bobble stitch blanket, and realized a few rows in that my bobbles were perfectly aligned rather than off set. I kept coming back to your pic and Annette's to compare, and yup...sure enough, I had done something wrong. SO upon more careful look at the pattern I caught the error and frogged it last night and began again. I left the first several rows of course, and began where the error occured. Now I am on track and loving it. BUT, my yarn is very thin. I will do another with much nicer yarn soon!!!!
I did link you in my post....
    Thanks for sharing the pattern.

  2. You mastered that dress, eh? MAN, that thing just stumped me for the longest time! But it was SO fun to make - once I finally "got" it! Mary Janes...I have a pattern I purchased but haven't made them yet. I tried and didn't like the way they turned out. I need to give it another try! And your granny blanket...oooooooo, pretty! I'm such a color fanatic! I love color sprinkles, rainbow blankets...just put some color in it and I'm there! LOL Thanks for the shout out here! I'm so glad we found each other! Annette

  4. I LOVE your granny stripe blanket. I want to make one, but only know the basic crochet stitch. I must learn! Do you think it would be hard for a beginner?
