The 35 granny squares are joined and bordered...now for the sewing in of the ends..I thinkl this may be my favorite blanket I have made so far !! One of my dogs thinks it is hers and its been a little difficult to work on with her cuddled up in it !

Your granny afghan is beautifully done, love it! Way back in the 70s my mom made some with oversize squares in shades of blue and purple, they were gorgeous. Love your dog model, too. :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. I love the colours in the border.
ReplyDeletehow beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely afghan. I think the colors you chose are great together. Your puppy looks pretty happy with it, too. :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I just started making grannies, with hopes to turn it into a blanket, someday!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, this is my first time using so many different colors, and the thought of wrapping up all those loose ends seems so tedious. It's not as bad as it looks, right? :)
your dog and afghan are both absoutly gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and so colorful. The white borders really sets everything off.
ReplyDeleteNice job, now to sew in all those ends.... you dog is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Ellen
Beautiful! Everyone crochets differently, but it is much easier if you work the 'ends' in when you add another color or as you finish a block. If you work over the ends as you change colors, then you will only have one end (the last color) to work in when you finiah a block. This end can be worked in when you join blocks. That's the way I finish my blocks but you do what is easiest for you.
ReplyDeleteque ternura ese perrito y tu manta!hermosos♥
ReplyDeletePreciosa¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I have been so inspired to do a big granny project soon, but have a few too many other peojects on deck right now. :-(
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Nothing more classic than a lovely granny square throw and a dog!
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is gorgeous! Based on how happy your dog looks it must be comfy too.
ReplyDeletelove the granny squares, and the dog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I forgot how to crochet when I was pg with my fourth child! It never came back.
ReplyDeleteThat blanket looks gorgeous, I like the colours you have used in it...
ReplyDeleteThough I don't envy cleaning up all those ends :(
Your blanket looks cosy especially with the little dog snuggled in it.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, I crochet the ends right back into the blanket as I go. You just line the end up with thr row you are working on and crochet over it. This way when you are done, you are done!
ReplyDeleteReally nice! And your dog is cute, too.
ReplyDeleteA.N.O.T.H.E.R. gorgeous work! Wow...your color choices are fabulous!
