Red White and Blue in a Mason Jar

 Good morning!
I changed out the tulips for red and white stripe flowers... and it is amazing!

 This chalkboard is in a vintage frame in the family room over a vintage buffet .. for the Spring it was full of tulips and now it is all red, white and blue!

 On the buffet I also have another galvanized tiered tray .. this one is oval .. Lots of patriotic goodies are on display ..and of course lots of stitching!

Old Glory

Good morning! 

This is Old Glory from Little House Needleworks..

 Chelsea stitched this and I finished it up for her this weekend ..This was one of her Stitchmania starts.. I mounted the stitching on sticky board .. I used a blue plaid also mounted on Sticky board and glued those 2 together.. I found the frame at Good will and chalk painted it white .. I used the backing in the frame and wrapped the red ticking around it ..

I ripped and knotted red gingham fabric and covered 2 buttons with the blue plaid .. I used the buttons for the centers of the daisies I glued on ..

I stitched this back in 2015 and here is my finish

America!

 Good morning!
Red, White and Blue all over the chalkboard this Memorial Day ..I love buntings and all patriotic decor ...

 The chickens on the bottom holding the buntings ... a fence with bunting and flowers..

 A farmhouse with window boxes full of flowers and buntings..whats not to love? :) This chalkboard hangs on the wall into my kitchen from the family room and gets changed out for the seasons .. I found the frame at a rummage sale and had a board cut to fit that I painted with chalkboard paint..

My Buzzy String

 Good morning!
I finished up my Buzzy String from Lizzie Kate this morning.. This was only 2 days of stitching .. so cute and fun  ..

 These are all the floss colors I used...

Remember Chelsea stitched the Buzzy String and I finished it for her ? Chelsea's husband had made us these boards to mount them on from some wood planks . We both have quite a few of the Lizzie Kate Strings so we can change these out because I used magnets and sheet metal ..

 It is adorable .. I haven't decided where it will go in the house but I can't wait to display it .. For now it is sitting on the dining room table waiting for this weeks flosstube!

 I used plaid homespun for the back of mine ... added a twine flower and some ribbon and torn fabric and a bee in the center.. I added it to the top of the homespun so each of the strings I stitch will have a different decoration ...

 This was my day 21 Stitchmaynia start ...

Patriotic Banners..

 Good morning!
These are the patriotic chart packs from Little House Needleworks and Classic Colorworks.. I stitched mine last spring and Chelsea stitched hers in the summer but we never got around to finishing them so here they are ! Love them!

 I used torn ruffled homespun for the edging .. I moiunted the stitching on sticky board ..added the ruffles and a Piece of fabric for hanging.. We use push pins in the top of the hutch to hold them in place.. I love the plaid on hers and might have to redo mine! :)

 so nice that we both have these festive patriotic pieces to display!

Red, White and Blue in the Tiered Tray

 Good morning!
The Galvanized tiered tray got its yearly dose of red, white and blue yesterday! One of my favorite  spots to decorate for the seasons and holidays is this tiered tray ..

I found the tray at Sam's club 3 years ago .. you can find the tiered trays in lots of different stores now .. It will stay with this patriotic decor until about the middle of July..

It is sitting in the middle of my kitchen table full of daisies,chickens , mason jars and all things patriotic!
