Baby ripple
I had some blue baby yarn left over from making the new grandson a couple blankets..so I decided to make one to keep at our house since he and his brother were spending the night last week.. Its the same baby ripple I made before where you work the row only in the back stitches..I got the terry cloth looking yarn to add to the top at walmart.
The never ending Lizzie Kate Halloween abc.. seems I get stitchers ADD every time I start to work on it , I think theres something else I must need to do and jump up to do it! :)
Pioneer woman baked potato skins..made these last night ,they are so good ! A little time consuming ,but my boys gobbled them up..the potatoes I used were pretty small so they were like 2 bites each. Will definately make them again. They ate them with sour cream on top , and one of the boys dipped them in bbq sauce. But he dips everything in bbq sauce...
Hope you are having a great, relaxing weekend ..I think today we are digging up most of the potatoes in my garden..hope there is alot !
Thanks for reading my blog and your nice comments !!

Fathers Day 2012
Its finished ! The flower blanket is finished !
I bought this hydrangia last year at Walmart on clearance for $7.00 .. the flowers were blue, but now they are lavender..I keep putting coffee grounds around it to make the soil more acidic.. hopefully I will get blue flowers !
My favorite garden decoration is this wrought iron bicycle my sister in law sent me from Connecticut.. Its got a basket in the front for a plant and a flat area on the back for a pot.

Flag pillow
I saw a flag pillow on Pinterest that I wanted for my front porch chair. Since it was going outside I didn't want to spend any money or too much time on it.. So...I got out my glue gun. First I sewed a rectangle shape from osnaburg ( thick muslin like fabric.) I cut a small rectangle from navy fabric and glued it to the top left corner..Then I used some red and white fabrics that I cut in strips and glued on like stripes.
After I got all the stripes on I cut another navy rectangle and glued it over the first so it stood out more. I cut 4 stars from the white fabric and glued them on. The whole thing took about 40 minutes start to finish.
I need a nice white wicker chair to sit this pillow on.. I am determined to find one at an estate sale or garage sale !

The Border..
I started and finished the border last night.. I did a row of sc, two rows of half double crochet , and then 3 half double crochets in each around. It just makes a soft ruffled border. love the way it turned out. Now to sew in all the ends.
I don't know why my dogs always think they need the newest blanket to lay on. I had the blanket sitting on the back of the chair and she climbed up on it, and wouldn't get off ! This blanket is not dog friendly because of all the holes , I don't want any of their feet to get tangled up in it.
Hopefully I will get some time today to start the sewing in process
This is where I got the inspiration from to make this blanket..http://scottys-place.blogspot.com/2012/05/oh-goodie.html If you go to Pam's newer posts you can see her progress on this same blanket, done in black ..
For those who have asked , its all acrylic.. mostly red heart for all the colors, the background is mostly hobby lobby I love this yarn , in sea blue.
Thanks for coming by !!
