Liberty Hill Farm

Good morning!
I finished up Liberty Hill Farm by Silver Creek Samplers  at midnight last night and here it is all finished up! I needed to get this finished because today I start stitching the next Chalkfull Jar!
This was my 9th Stitchmaynia finish! Woohoo!
***Please remember if you copy my finishing ideas that you be considerate and give a link to my blog or facebook page..****
Chelsea cut me a piece of the shiplap left from Cash's nursery .. I mounted the piece on sticky board with batting underneath .. mounted red buffalo checks on another piece of sticky board and glued them together ..

I added a double bow of patriotic stripe ribbon with a galvanized star on top just like Freedom Reigns

I have had a lot of questions about the fabric It is 28 count Monaco .. I dyed it using apple green first .. then evening blue .. then coffee tea dying .
For my floss I used mostly the Fancy Floss Favorites available at The Fat Quarter Shop .. The only floss color I used that wasn't in there was Classic Colorworks Nature Trail .. Queen Bee.. Eggshell.. Old Blue Jeans ...Barn Door... Stepping Stones ...Sticks and Twigs were the floss colors I used ..

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good morning!
Look at these beauties! These are both Red White and Bloom from Country Cottage Needleworks ..

This first one is Chelsea's .. stitched on 28 count Monaco .. coffee tea dyed with called for fancy floss..I mounted it on sticky board .. added red gingham checks to another piece of sticky board ..and then one more sticky board was cut to fit the back of the vintage frame .. that one was covered in blue gingham checks .. the vintage frame was painted with Chalky paint  Picket Fence ..I added a row of daisy trim around the stitching and a bow made from 2 different ribbons with a daisy on top ...It is fabulous in person!

This big one is Denise's from Fat Quarter Shop .. It is stitched on 10 count Vintage Cloth from Lori Holt ..using Aurifloss threads ..Was stitched on 10 count Oatmeal using Aurifloss colors 6722, 2134, 2270, 1125, 2884, 2610. I used six strands and replaced the brown border with 2610. This will be a kit available at the Fat Quarter Shop once they get the 10 count fabric back in stock . She got the frame at Hobby Lobby .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board with batting underneath ,, added the red fabric to another sticky board and glued them together . I used 3 different ribbons for the bow and added a daisy with a covered button in my favorite blue plaid! This one is amazing also!

Pigs and a Grater

Happy Friday!
What is cuter than a truck full of pigs on a vintage kitchen grater ?  :)

***Please remember if you copy my finishing ideas that you be considerate and give a link to my blog or facebook page..****

This is a little portion of Star Spangled Swine Farm my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design!
I just stitched the little truck for this piece .. This is the same grater that Carrots and Cottontails Farm  was on !

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 layers of batting .. I added a little bunting to the top made from ribbon .. and added a little row of flower trim to the bottom .. a magnet holds it to the grater
I made a bow from 3 different types of ribbon and added a daisy with a covered button ..

She’s a Grand Old Flag !

Good morning!
This is Quaker Flag from The Stitcherhood .. all finished up! This is a stitch a long with Kimberly from  The Fat Quarter Shop #fqsquakerflag ..
This was also one of my Stitchmaynia starts and my 8th Stitchmaynia finish :)

***Please remember if you copy my finishing ideas that you be considerate and give a link to my blog or facebook page..****

I stitched it on 28 count really darkly tea / coffee dyed fabric .This stuff was roasted and toasted kind of on accident .. but I love it!  I used Classic Colorworks ..Ribbon Red .. Blue Corn and Bamboo... Calvin must have taken the Ribbon Red Tag .. He prefers Licorice Red :)

I mounted it on a board I had painted the same color as my kitchen ,, then distressed with glaze. I had previously used this board for Easter Peep Parade  which I had mounted on there with magnets and sheet metal ...

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 layers of batting .. I added red buffalo check fabric on sticky board for the backing .. Washers were added to the back to attach to the magnets already on the piece .I made a bow with 3 different ribbons and added a wooden star I bought at Hobby Lobby .. Love it on the aqua!
It goes perfectly with the small piece from Star Spangled Swine! As I said in our You Tube video .. I would have never chosen this chart to stitch by the photo .. but look at it ! It is amazing.. and it was quick to stitch!

Thnaks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
