Bless Our Home Wreath

 Good morning!
This blue truck filled with daisies was the reason for starting the #pcblessourhome stitch a long from our You Tube channel .. I saw this truck online and knew I had to have it and stitch something to go with it!
No ...Calvin isn't friendlier ..he just knows if he hangs around me I give him kitty treats :)
We used Classic Colorworks Eves Leaves for all the green .. barn door for all the red .. stepping stones roof and tree.. old blue jeans for house and flag and words
This truck came from Big Lots .. I think I had been there one time in my life until I had to go and get Chelsea and I these trucks .. then we searched for a chart with daisies and Country Cottage Needleworks had this cute Bless Our Home Chart .. I added some yellow to my flowers and it's amazing!
Of course the dog got stitched in Ronnie colors..I wired the truck to the wreath .. mounted the stitching on sticky board and mounted red gingham on sticky board ..made 2 bows with red, yellow and blue gingham ..and added some sprigs of daisies.. It will be perfect for summer to hang on the basement door in my kitchen!
It is adorable and only took a week to stitch up!

Chickafying The Chalkboard

 Happy Thursday!
This week is just flying by! The chalkboard in the kitchen needed to be debunnied ...so it got chickifyed today!

Mama and baby out frolicking in the daisies! Too bad we still have snow and cold here! I look at last years photos and I had daffodils blooming ...not this year!

This chalkboard I made from a garage sale frame ...had wood cut to fit and painted it with chalkboard paint..It gets changed out for the seasons and holidays..it hgangs on the wall into the kitchen from the family room
This photo is just to prove Calvin isn't glued to the table :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Tray Full Of Chickens and Daisies

 Good morning!
Remember those Prairie Schooler chickens I stitched from the Welcome Spring chart ? Yesterday I decided it was time to debunny the tiered tray and fill it with chickens and daisies.. so I finished up those 2 chickens and into the tray they went! I have a couple other small chicken pieces that I will hopefully stitch and add to the tray ..
I finished them on sticky board ( of Course) and used more sticky board for the black gingham .. I added some burlap lace ribbon to the bottom ..and they are perfect !

I have lots of vintage chickens in bright colors to mix with all the black .. black gingham ribbons and black floral ribbon are all in the tray ..
A chalkboard front and center with some greenery ..

 aren't they just the cutest!
the tray is filled all the way around .. with more chickens and daisies ..
Black and white checks are my favorite ... throw in some daisies and chickens and it couldn't be better! What could be better is it was not snowing here in Illinois on April 16 !
Of course Ronnie had to make an appearance
and that means the #meanestcatinamerica couldn't be left out!
So that is it from me for today .. Hope you have a great week!

Chickens in a Truck on the Mantel

Good morning! I changed up the mantel this morning .. It was time to get rid of the bunnies and carrots..so chickens have taken over ...along with a cat ..that thinks he should be in all the pictures .
And we all know that that's Ronnie's job :) he even has the head tilt going .. Must be studying Ronnie's pictures ..
anyway ..I loaded up the truck with a bunch of Chelsea's chickens ...wrapped it in a daisy garland ..and a new chalkboard is up!
I added some black floral ribbon to the lanterns...some black gingham ribbon to the chicken wire, daisies and pink blossoms garlands..blue mason jars , a basket of eggs and some vintage chickens were also added ..

a little chalkboard hanging from the vintage fence piece .. and thanks so much for stopping by!

Daisies and A Bunny!

Good morning friends! Happy Monday !
I finished stitching Basketful of Spring from With Thy Needle and Thread yesterday and finished it up this morning!
I had this ornate galvanized piece that I was using for another With Thy Needle piece SpringTime Social .. I only used it for that design and since there is already a summer basket and I am hoping a fall and winter basket this stand will get more use :) I will need to figure out a new way to display Springtime Social.. Using magnets I can switch things out with no problem!

I did some substitutions of colors and flosses and everything I used is shown above.. I used 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave.. mounted the piece on sticky board and then mounted the backing fabric on stocky board.. I made the bow from blue homespun ...dark red striped ribbon and daisy trim .. I added a cluster of daisies to the top. When I was a child my Mom made a lot of my clothes and I remember this daisy trim being on a lot of them:)
The bow is also attached with a magnet so I can add a new one for each season ..
This design is so adorable ... so many little details you can't see in the photos..
Love that little scoop with the chicks in it :)

The Cutest Bunny In A Bucket

 Happy Wednesday Friends!
I had started this adorable bunny Spring Gathering from Scattered Seed Samplers last week and didn't get it finished before Easter but finished it up this morning! He is so cute!
I stitched it on 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave .. I used Hickory Sticks for the bunny ...shabby sheep for his belly.. muddy Puddle for key and letters.. barn door for the flowers .. cocoa bean for the basket and the called for floss for the eggs and ears .. all Classic Colorworks floss...
So.. I have been painting a lot.. A LOT :) ..and when you buy paint they give you stir sticks .. So I used one of those stir sticks and covered it with fabric to stick the bunny in the bucket! I ruffled torn grey homespun ...added some burlap ribbon with lace and glued on the fabric covered paint stir stick and stuck the bunny in the bucket surrounded by moss and a birds nest ...

Being on the stick gives it some height for my displays which is great!
 It couldn't be any cuter!

Buzzy String

 Good morning!
This is Lizzie Kate's Buzzy String stitched by Chelsea and finished by me ..

We used planks of barn wood from Hobby Lobby .. Chelsea's husband put two planks together and used small pieces of wood on the back to anchor them together.. He also made one for me and one for my youngest son's girlfriend since we all have Lizzie Kate Strings to stitch!
I mounted the stitching on sticky board and used sticky board for some Navy ticking for the back..a bow from burlap ...a covered button and some daisies and it all ready to display for summer ! The stitching part is 1-1/2 inches by 13 .... so tiny! I used magnets and metal washers to attach the stitching to the board so she can stitch the other strings she has.. and a magnet and washer for the covered button ..
