Buttons Black

Happy Sunday!
I finished this Buttons Black up for my daughter Chelsea this week... Isn't that witch just the absolute cutest! Everything she stitches I want to stitch! :)

So I found this frame at the Good Will ..$1.99 it had a date of 1972 so its pretty old..
I thought we should paint it black but the vote to keep it original won! I mounted the needlework on sticky board and then glued it to the back of the frame ..
I took the backing off the frame and wrapped black check homespun around it.. I added another strip of larger homespun down the side.. then we went through my bag of buttons and added some black buttons down the strip of homespun.. it's stitched on 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave

this weeks You tube video...  Thanks for stopping by!

Priscilla, you are on fire!! The finishes just keep on getting cuter! Since you and Chelsea started your Flosstube (which I didn't know existed), I am addicted and it's amazing how many Flosstubers give you two shout outs for your finishing. I feel like I am going to be able to say "I knew her when....." Very impressive - that's what it is!!

Lovely finish! I love the clever idea to add buttons, especially when they are mentioned in the saying on the design. Perfect!

Wow, I love this frame! It's perfect for this project. Adding the buttons just really makes this all so special. I watched your video yesterday & LOVED it! I'm still stitching away on Sunflower Manor - it is such a beautiful design. I can't wait to see what you come up with for winter :)
Smiles, DianeM
