Oh My Stars!

Good morning...happy Monday!
I finished stitching Oh My Stars from Little House Needleworks on Saturday night and finished it up this morning..This was one of my 24 stitchmaynia pieces, and my 7th stitchmaynia finish!
..I used the called for threads except the blue I used Classic Colorworks Dublin Bay instead of the DMC color. It's stitched on 28 count coffee/ tea dyed evenweave.
I found this black frame at the Good will last week for $2.99 ..it's black and distressed so  I didn't have to do a thing to it.

I used the backing for the frame to make a mat for the piece and wrapped it in blue gingham. I mounted the stitching on sticky needlework board and glued that to the mat. I made the trim  from a piece of dark red homespun that I gathered and glued along two sides of the frame . I topped the homespun with some of my twine flowers and covered some buttons in the blue gingham.. I decided it needed to go in the basket on the vintage chair in the foyer ..so its surrounded by a chicken, some daisies and a vintage watering can filled with cotton branches.
( If you copy my finishes or embellishments I would appreciate you giving me credit.. I work hard trying to come up with new and different things and it's only right if you copy to give credit to the person you got the idea from .. it's not hard to do the right thing.. and I would love to see what you create using my ideas!)
Thank you...

So adorable Priscilla! I do plan on trying to copy your finishing of "Nest" - the one you double-backed and mounted within a wreath. I don't think mine will be photo-worthy but in the off chance that it is and I put it on Facebook, I will give you all of the credit for the inspiration! Keep being creative - you inspire all of your followers!

What a nice little patriotic finish. I agree, if I am ever clever enough to use one of your ideas, you will get the credit!
