A Couple of June Finishes

Hello!
Since today is June 1st , I had to hop to it and get these little June pieces finished up!
First the sampler months June from Little House Needleworks. These come with the Classic Colorworks floss , but I did change the cherries to Licorice Red also a Classic Colorworks. The border on this one in the Wavy Navy is amazing!~
It's in the tiered tray in the kitchen , I know I just showed you the tiered tray with the stars and stripes piece but I needed that somewhere else so this is perfect for the tray! I mounted red gingham onto sticky needlework board and used another piece of the needlework board for the stitching. I ripped some navy homespun made a bow and topped it with a daisy.
Next is a Lizzie Kate ..and I did change all the colors on this one.. Isn't it cute! This one has magnets on the frame and a piece of sheet metal on the back of the stitching..
and then finally not a June piece, this one is also a Lizzie Kate stitched by my daughter
I tea dyed the aqua gingham and also the pom pom trim .. I made twine flowers and used covered buttons for the centers.
The frame was a $2.99 frame from the Goodwill .. I mounted the stitching onto sticky needlework board ..the aqua gingham was hot glued onto the backing for the frame. I made a bow out of aqua ticking and that holds the twine flowers.... and I am happy to report that my daughter has graduated to 28 count!

If you would  like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Hi Priscilla, where do you purchase sheet metal for your pieces, and does it come in small pieces? I love how you make things so interchangeable with magnets and metal. :) Beautiful work as always!

Your daughters stichery is nice and I love what the piece said, so true!
I'm telling you, your changes in the colors, if not pattern, I'm not all surprise that you make your own patterns, you're very talented:).

Both of your June stitchings are super. I love the twine flowers (how did you create them?) that you made for your daughter's piece. I would also be interested in knowing what kind of sheet metal you use and where you get. Thanks!

Lovely June finishes, Priscilla. I find that my summer smalls collection is sorely lacking! Need to follow your lead and get busy :)

Your daughter did a great job on her first 28 ct. piece! Love it--and love how you finished it for her.

Happy June to you!
