Spring in the Kitchen 2015

 Happy Friday !
Lets take a tour of the rest of the kitchen decorated for spring!
The seasonal chalkboard hangs on the wall between the family room and kitchen.. there is a DIY spring burlap wreath on the basement door..decorated with forsythia and a birds nest..

The galvanized tiered tray decorated for spring sits on the end of the counter..
a few chickens in a thrifted basket ..
The view into the dining room..

the basket of bunnies and book page covered eggs on the kitchen table..in a wire basket on a cake pedestal.
The new DIY spring table runner..
and my favorite spring vignette.. Doesn't it just say SPRING!
This was my first vintage scale I found .. its got a big white bowl with a stack of smaller plates inside ..topped with an urn that my daughter had bought at Goodwill and wasn't using ..In the urn is a moss bunny ( Hobby Lobby) surrounded by tulips from Michael's..The little birds are from Hobby Lobby and so is the branch of green thistles.. In the small pedestal bowl is a nest and another of the birds...a little blossom garland is wrapped around the nest with a few blue speckled eggs..
We went to Homegoods the other day and I found this bunny sugar bowl ( $3.99)  and added it to the bottom tray ..now this is even more my favorite vignette!
This wire cloche was in the dining room ..its filled with a couple vintage chickens and a little wood box for height.
Naptime ..:) and yesterday this hawk came and landed on our fence while I was out there starting yard cleanup.. he was huge ! wish I would have had my camera ,this photo is from my phone.

I hope you all have wonderful weekends! It's been pretty warm here ..maybe even 60 today ..there is still a lot of snow in our yard. Hoping it will be gone soon !

Priscilla, you are so talented, boy, have you got me in the mood to decorate today. The bunnies and birdies will make their grand entrance today, or tomorrow...thanks to you. You inspired me! ) Your vignettes are absolutely lovely, thank you for sharing. xoxo, Liz

Your spring decor is a delight and seeing your pup is even sweeter. Bird of prey are beautiful to look at, but menacing for little pets. Last spring there was a large owl in my neighbors palm tree and I was cautious with my little dog, watching vigilantly. Kathleen in Az

Your kitchen looks so pretty. We are still working on ours, but took a break during the winter months. This year we are putting in a new floor and making one cabinet and all will be done.

Just look at all of those darling bunnies everywhere in your kitchen vignettes, Priscilla--so adorable! I love that newest bunny sugar bowl you got from Homegoods! Will have to check our local one out next week (it is just down the hill from where I work at the library)...

Love your new sugar bowl bunny and the whole vignette. You've inspired me to pull out my old scale from storage to see what I can create!

Priscilla, your home is decorated so lovely for Spring. Easy to see why that is your favorite vignette. Love everything about it! I have a few vintage scales and I do love them. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

I love all of your Spring decor in your kitchen. I just recently bought a 3 tier tray stand and now you have given me some ideas of what to do. Your little dog reminds me of mine. So cute!! We have hawks in our neighborhood too. We had one in our tree awhile back that was looking at me through the window. Have a wonderful weekend!
