August Stitching

Good morning ! Here are my August With Thy needle and Thread Wordplay and the monthly cottage from Country Cottage Needleworks ..As usual they are kept in place by magnets and sheet metal..
I used green gingham for the back of the August wordplay.. It seems like up til now the wordplay and cottage went really well together ..this month not so much ! I just used sunflowers to accessorize with , vinatge mason jars ..and the white chicken..
I stitched these last year , so it was nice just to finish them up this morning :)

One of our Jack Russells Ronnie on her constant chipmunk hunt ..Love this time of year in the garden !
Seems like summer is flying by ! We finally had some rain last night ..its been a while !
Thanks so much for stopping by and your always sweet comments !

Your stitching as well as your garden is beyond lovely. I could live in your garden. I have a pretty nice size vegetable and herb garden but very little flowers. I always promise myself to grow more but somehow the veggies always win out and I'm forced to plant a few flowers in containers. Next year will be different!!! You have inspired me.

Love the sticheries! And I love the photos of the abundant gardens!!! Here our gardens are burning up in this heat. Most of the garden has been harvested, and the flowers are all looking pretty parched. This is the time of summer that I just want to stay inside!!!
Kids here start school on Monday. So I am eager to get myself back to some of the things I love to do, like sew and crochet!

Your August table is so pretty. I loved seeing the garden photos. It is a wonderful time for the garden. I do miss my daylillies as they are almost gone.

Your beautiful stitching caught my eye! It looks so lovely displayed in the silver tray, how clever! Great vignettes and your garden is lovely, as well.
