DIY Winter Decomesh Wreath

 It's Monday !
Hope you had a great weekend ! No school around here today or tomorrow because of the below zero temperatures ! When it looks like this outside you need a wreath on the door that is very wintery ! I took down the Christmas wreath and didn't put anything back up ..It was just too bare.
I got this decomesh at Hobby Lobby after Christmas for 90 percent off ! So it was about $1.50 ! I should have bought more ! I used a evergreen wreath that I already had.
To make the wreath you just bunch up how big you want the loops and use the evergreen wired branches twisted together to hold it down and secure it. Like using a twist tie..I made these loops about 8 inches long.
I did 2 rows of the decomesh , one on the inside one on the outside..I used this light aqua ribbon for the bow...
I got these glitter snowflakes at Joann fabrics after Christmas .. I think they were about 25 cents each ( 3 snowflakes on each pick)
I also used some glittery cord from Hobby Lobby ..its an aqua color..
I added light blue tulle bows to make it really full
This took me less than 30 minutes and look how fabulous it looks on the door !

These wreaths are so easy ! Hope you will try one !

Yesterday I had my granny square blanket spread out to take the pictures for my blog.. I left the room for 2 seconds and this is what I came back to..She had to be the first one to try it out..:)
This is what I see looking out the front door..Lots of snow..and so cold !

I would love for you to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest ..all the links are in the sidebar !
Have a great day !Thanks so much for stopping by ! I love your visits and nice comments !

A perfect wreath for winter! Stay warm. I can't believe how bad the weather has been for all of you. I have yet to see any snow and our skiers are getting irritated.

Oh my goodness! You do have a lot of snow. We are expecting a little tonight so we are pretty excited about it. We don't get to see it too often! Your wreath is very pretty hanging on your front door!

Very cute wreath! Your crocheted blankets are beautiful too! Your pooch is adorable and that is so funny that the dog immediately took it over!

Very pretty! Decomesh is new to me and I have to check it out! Too bad I probably won't get such a deal on it. It would make a very pretty Spring wreath in a pastel. Visiting from Anything Blue Friday

Wow your deco mesh wreath looks so great- love the snowflakes too! That's cute how you pup laid on the blanket so fast. Pets seem to know when there is something new and fresh and love to lay on it! Looks like you are a very busy crocheter! I have the same view of lots of snow....I could use some color outside but it won't improve for quite a while here.

Frosty and cold for sure Priscilla. The wreath is a perfect winter welcome! Can't blame the dog. It just looks too darn cozy! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
