New scarf and SNOW!

Good morning ! I made another one of these 20 row scarves for my daughter.. I think she has about 6 of them now .. She wanted a red one , so here it is crochet scarf pattern ..Very easy instructions ..and very fast to make !

We had about 4 inches of snow on Tuesday,so we took the youngest grandson out on the sled.. he is just adorable !

Then on Thursday we were supposed to get 2-4 inches and we got about 10 ! It was so beautiful.. Yesterday it was raining so alot of it is melted ...

I found this recipe on pinterest for oven baked sweet and sour chicken... It is SO good, but kind of misleading because you do have to brown the chicken before baking in the oven..I baked mine on parchment paper so there wasn't a messy pan to clean :)

I also cooked up a few green peppers and used a can of pineapple chunks, when the chicken came out of the oven. They give you a sauce recipe , but since I have alot of jars of sweet and sour sauce for when I make eggrolls I just poured that over the chicken instead of making the sauce. I will definitely be making this again!

Hope you all have a great week ! Thanks for your visits and nice comments :)

Good morning! Your daughter is just so pretty!!! Love those scarves. All of my customers want THAT pattern. It is a fun and easy one to do. I usually do 15 rows. Some are 20...I like them both ways.
Yummy chicken!!
I am off to the dr. today...boo hoo!

Oh, just look at that little blue snowbunny with his red cheeks--how adorable!! The snow shots are gorgeous, Priscilla. We ended up getting nothing at all last week other than a bit of freezing rain on Friday.

Your daughter looks so pretty in her new red scarf--how lucky she is to have a mom who crochet so beautifully :)

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family!

I love the scarf/cowl and will definitely be making this one! It looks lovely on your daughter too.
I will also try that chicken recipe. Thank you!
Your pictures of the snow are beautiful.

Ok, why had I not seen this scarf pattern before? And that GORGEOUS baby of yours.....WOW. She looks so full of life and so happy! Ahhhh, to be young again!

So i found this post late last night and immediately explored that cowl pattern. And before I knew it, I was watching the video and jotting down the easy instructions (although I found it a little confusing to follow that lovely lady on the video. Give me a stitch name and show it to me in slow motion at least once...I'm old and need special handling!). LOL. And sometime long after midnight (ahem) I turned out the light and had my first two rounds accomplished. What a simple rhythmic stitch once you get it! So i'm off to embark on some more rows now. Thanks for sharing...you hooked me quickly on this one. One question...will I look as beautiful as your daughter when I wear mine? NEVER! Hugs, Annette

I'll have to try that recipe, thanks! Chicken is the one meat that everybody in the family happily eats.

Love the scarf you made for your pretty daughter! Your grandson is just adorable.

I can knit.. I can sew... but I have never been taught how to crochet. Darn! The scarf is just so lovely! And really makes me want to learn this craft!

Hi Priscilla,
your daughter is so pretty and I love her in red! Your little guy is as chubby as our 6 month old grandson. Love that baby fat! lol! I have a recipe that I got from my college roomie for S&Sour chicken. It is my families favorite to this day. You brown mine first too, then bake. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
